Our Founder

Our Founder and Principal Consultant, Stephanie LaBelle, is a recognized leader and specialist with over a decade of experience in fostering effective relationships between communities and industry. Stephanie has been involved in recent Impact and Benefits Agreements and managing consultation permitting requirements on brownfield and greenfield resource development projects in Ontario.

Stephanie’s expertise lies in:

  • Navigating complex regulatory and permitting consultation requirements;
  • Negotiating impactful agreements, including process and funding, joint ventures, exploration, and operating projects;
  • Supporting the transition to implementing these commitments.

Her approach focuses on ensuring all parties involved fully understand their responsibilities and can intentionally work together to put them into practice while also being adaptable to evolving operational and community needs.

From 2019-2024, Stephanie served as the Ontario Mining Association's (OMA) Indigenous Relations Committee Chair, showcasing her leadership and dedication to fostering meaningful industry-community relationships. The OMA is the longest-serving trade organization in Canada and a vital representative of the mining industry in the province, offering a unified voice on matters of public policy and opinion.

Stephanie has presented and participated in panels at conferences, think tanks, and forums across Canada and internationally, emphasizing the importance of partnerships with Indigenous Nations and economic reconciliation.
